Ramesh is an incoming Assistant Professor (Fall 2026) in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Central Arkansas . He received his Ph.D. in Computer and Cyber Sciences from Augusta University, under the supervision of Dr. Costas Busch.
He also earned an M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Pokhara University and a B.E. in Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Nepal.
His research lies at the intersection of distributed algorithms, blockchain systems, cybersecurity, digital forensics, and scalable distributed computing. His primary research focuses on designing efficient, secure, and theoretically grounded algorithms for blockchain sharding, distributed transaction processing, and large-scale distributed systems. He is also interested in blockchain security, cybersecurity, digital forensics, cloud and edge computing, dependable cyber-physical systems, and the application of algorithmic techniques to address emerging challenges in secure and distributed computing.
His research has appeared in leading venues including ACM SPAA, DISC, SIROCCO, SSS, APDCM, and Theoretical Computer Science. His work has received several recognitions, including the Best Student Paper Award at SSS 2025. He also serves as an invited reviewer for leading journals and conferences in distributed computing, networking, and blockchain.
